Chattanooga LNG Plant
In Tennessee, Southern Company Gas’ subsidiary Chattanooga Gas receives peak day supplies from its Chattanooga LNG plant which was placed in service in 1972 and has a single storage tank with a capacity of 1.2 billion cubic feet (Bcf) or 14.9 million gallons of liquefied natural gas. The plant has the capability to produce 120,000 gallons per day and has one trucking rack and scale that can load a 10,000 gallon tanker in less than one-hour. Operations are fully staffed year-round 24/7 to meet our customer’s demand. This plant can deliver up to 62,000 Dth per day to the Chattanooga Gas market.
